Quantitative variables

These are the measurable variables; they are numerical, and represent quantities. Quantitative variable can be either discrete or continuous (see finite and countable set definitions).

Under its numerical form, the qualitative variable “age” discussed in the previous paragraph can be treated as a discrete quantitative variable. As a manager using statistical methods, you would have to decide which form is the most relevant to your analysis and compatible with the local regulations regarding personal data.
